This section contains information about Mile High Animal Hospital of Aurora, covering everything from the animals we serve, hours of operation, how to make an appointment, payment policies, and more.
Our veterinary practice treats cats & dogs.
Emergencies are accepted any time our facility is open. Emergencies can be events such as rat bait poisoning, chocolate ingestion, vomiting uncontrollably, a laceration, and one of the scariest: a beloved pet being hit by a car. If your pet has an emergency, please call us immediately at 303.693.6484 so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency. Some urgent situations can be treated here, while others might be referred to a 24-hour emergency center.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not critical. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get a regular appointment, our veterinarians will work to “squeeze” you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our team will be able to give you an idea of how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
If you have an emergency while our clinic is closed, access information on 24-7 veterinary emergency hospitals in the Denver metro area.

Another popular option for your family and pet is insurance coverage. We strongly recommend that every family have pet health insurance for at least the first 2 years of your pet’s life with you. This gives you the time to assess if your pet is prone to accidents, disease, or escaping that might put it at risk.
Mile High Animal Hospital of Aurora welcomes talented, committed individuals who love animals. If you’d like to be part of our team, please get in touch and send your resume.
